The 07 and 08 have a different steering column but use the same steering wheels, from a quick look I believe that the 08 is used on the 10 cars and most likely in the 4.0L as well.

Looks like we'll have to wait for the first bumper-off job on the RS 4.0 to figure that one out

Does that not show in PET or some other exploded view diagram?
I will order them and Orbit will figure it out I'm sure.

Well ... if they mount them incorrectly the downforce will be "wrong"; too much, too little, or worst case, not balanced on both sides (i.e too much, too llittle on one side vs the other)

this would be "unfortunate" at high speed! ... I'd wait until the 4.0 lands to see how they are mounted and retrofit that way ...

thinking early 40's/50s attempts at the sound barrier ... last thing we want is your controls freezing as you approach the sound barrier ... or worse you break up!

eject eject eject ...

you probably also want the 4.0 uprights to cant the rear wing more ... hint hint ... gurney flap or no gurney flap!

Anyone out there who can advise me where I could get an "FVD" style steering wheel for the new 4.0? I believe FVD Brombacher source theirs from a German company called "ATIWE" who have, I understand, not made a hub adaptor for the 3.8 or 4.0 RS...? I do not care much for the wheel on the new car, too much chrome 'bling' and probably about an inch in diameter too big. I guess its a personal choice thing...
Anyways, would love to get some help here...?

If you can live with the diameter you could pain the center flat black like on the thicker '10RS. I think it is the color more than the shape that makes it seem so out of place.

Good thinking....thanks. BUT the diameter still seems just that bit too big. I guess I will have to live with it....

Do we have all parts numbers required to convert a 3.8 mil to 4.0? Given that I really only car about the lump in the back, I'm curious how much it would cost to convert a 3.8 motor to 4.0 spec using stock Porsche parts. Less than the approx. $80k delta for a trade up?

You're already running Cup front spoiler, no? Canards will only unbalance your aero more if you don't spring for the Cup rear wing....

FWIW, I don't need the HP either, but more torque and powerband twice as wide - now that's attractive.

It might perfectly match they Gurney flap.
No issues having too much front downforce.
