...when the 4.0 arrives in August. It has only delivery miles. White gauges, PCCB, red wheels. What do you think it's worth?
Cheers!

somewhere between 15-30% depreciation from MSRP, since its low miles closer to the former than the latter...
whatever you do, do not give it to a dealer ...

In this price range, where sales tax is very substantial, it is pretty hard to justify all the time and effort needed to sell the car privately. Personally I hate doing it.
If someone on Rennlist wants to man up and buy the car that would be great. otherwise dealing with the general public is a royal PITA, so I am not quite sure what to make of Larry's comment....I certainly don't give a crap if a dealer makes money on my trade-in if I get what I want out of the deal.

If trade in value is, say, 115k, then you'd have to private sale the car for 122k plus (assuming 6% tax rate) to make up for the sales tax without a trade in.

ps. If you didn't drive the 3.8 and you don't drive the 4.0, I'm pretty sure you won't see much difference in the horsepower gains of the 4.0 ... : )

GP (and honestly even RLers) can be "difficult" at times.

+1 I'm with Larry.
Often people try to sell cars high and then give it away to the dealer in the end.
IMHO, just ask for $120-$125K depending if you want to deal with it.
Me? I would ask and sell it for $120K and make some one happy with it instead of giving it to dealer who then gets the profit. For that price I would ask for a healthy deposit now so you know car is sold.
I sold my '07GT3 over a year ago for $78,500.00, my probably too low asking price. If you ask low and make it very clear that price can not be discussed you don't get all the lowball offers and I had a lot of fun talking to fellow enthusiasts instead.

Wish I were looking a year ago. It seems to be difficult to find what I want via a private party sale. Not many out there. There are, however, many at dealers of one sort or another...

I've decided that the Green '07 and '11 4.0 will be keepers. I'll enjoy the '10 and the '04 996 GT3. I'm just running out of space (and money). The '10 is flawless.
Front end lift? It will still scrape. I'm just glad I got the 4.0.
