Dropped the car off this morning. It may be ready by the end of tomorrow, but it will be missing the 4.0 Canards and black seat belts still. To do next week.

If you're going to add the 4.0 winglets, why don't you add the 4.0RS rear wing uprights? your Beetle needs more downforce in the rear-end, remember that the engine is located in the back, beyond the rear axle, and almost behind the rear bumper.

It would be nice if you can add some silver Scuderia stripes like the ones Porsche added to the 4.0RS, to your Beetle. You can paint your wheels in White too. It would look like a 4.0RS, and most likely it is faster.

I have my Gurney flap and plenty of rear grip, not worried.

That would be poserish, never mind ugly.

I am concidering the CF front fenders and hood. Or diet. One of the two....

Front fenders don't weigh anything and the hood is already Al. so not much gain there either. Of course since Eddie no longer has the cheater GT2 I guess somebody needs to step up to the plate. Then again maybe Rad will get off his wallet and get a 458.

Eddie has 2 new cheaters, a Japanese Godzilla and an exotic Italian with German roots.

Reter's Beetle is on diapers compared to your former 996 GT2 or my 996 GT3.

No F458 for me, I refuse to drive a car that's 400 lbs heavier than my Scuderia, only faster on straight line. If I want fast on the straights, the ZR1 and Viper do a better job, and they are both lighter than the pig F458.

Rad,

The Evo is running the car started for the first time yesterday. Should be 2700 lbs with me in it and 450whp for the first shakedown run, while the REAL engine is getting build. The italian poser and my stock godzila are no good for the track at least not now ... But I have a little teaser for you
Should be here by the end of next week. Will take a little while to get ready, but talk about a cheater

Bravo to Randy and Peter...I have just read all 51 pgs...

Thx on the feedback on the PFC08...I just recently got switched on to PFC01 and have been amazed at the stopping power these pads offer...though the dusts drives me nuts!

PFC08 sounds like a pad to try and they are on the list to buy.

Thx yet again...reading these pgs makes me want to jump back in to P-car ownership again....hmmm, we shall see what happens...!

Do remember. the 458 italia is the fastest GT racer around the Nordschleife. One of my guys, whose day job is testing the 911 race cars, has never driven a faster cornering car at the Nordschleife. So that weight is obviously well managed. It is quantifiably faster thant the 430.
