4.0 Dive planes added to the 3.8 Gold Edition.

Took both cars out to PBIR this morning for a quick hour of track time.
Not a great track, hot, but it beats being in the office.

Before we mentioned running the One lap Of America in the CL. Let's not.
Let's just say my brother gave it an efford, but one lap is all it will do, one lap 2 the temp gauge goes up as fast as the RPM's ;-) No brakes either on lap 2 but that might be the El Cheapo dust free pads. All in all a fun morning with a free lunch ;-)

I actually like PBIR, it is not far, and it is great to tune a car's suspension for balance due to the size of those sweepers.

Next time you go there for a quick breakfast let me know 24 hours in advance.

I think it is a bit borning, yes, close to home, but my least favorite track I have been to. Maybe personal preference.

Maybe it felt boring because we were driving windows up A/C on and my car just drives fantastic there; Super neutral, so all you can do is wait for the never ending corners to end while hugging the grass...

The brakes were the most impressive. Solid. I love me my PFC08's..
Rad, I think we can go pretty much every Wednesday night 6-10PM if we know the right people. No sun is good.

So the planes are held on with tape the thickness of the planes themselves, or is there more to it? Doesn't seem like there would be enough surface area for the tape to hold properly to keep them on at speed.

My wing is at max + Gurney flap, in my own fantasy world that balances out the Gurney arches, CUP lip and 4.0 dive planes.

Yes, and no they don't fall off, they are tested at 200MPH. If mine fall off it will be because the clear warp. But my Gurney flap is glued on over the clear wrap as well and it has not fallen off either.

The guy at Orbit (Ex Manthey) says that he glued and taped on much bigger stuff then that testing CUP cars.

That orange car stayed in that position the entire morning.

Michael, you're crazy. PBIR is 20 minutes from my house and therefor very convenient, but I'm willing to drive all the way to Roebling to drive that track (6+hours) while yesterday Peter and I politely declined to drive by ourselves for 30 minutes when the track was offered to us after doing corporate lapping for about an hour.

Who designed PBIR anyway?

Peter the canards, flics, dive planes.... Look great! If they fall off and I find them I'm keeping them...lol

Have you seen the carbon dive planes Tom Kerr is running? They are bigger,2 per side ad look cool too and highly funtional too.

I wonder if any Universities in the south have a wind tunnel and some students would like to do some aero testing?
