I looked at my pads in the car (siting in trailer) during a stop
For ten days I am shocked how much pad material is left, the tracks are not sebring hard on brakes, but I was overbraking for sure at every corner compared to Sebring
THe best part is they come pre-bedded in

where do i start. if you've never been to the glen, lets just say it was well worth the 14hr drive i had to make to get back home from there. my entire mini mancation was a blast that started at mid-ohio for 3 days and i dont know what i would've done without the help of veloce raptor, thanks for coming up dave
mid-ohio was very technical and frustrating to learn in heavy traffic with the NASA crowd. nothing against you guys that race with NASA but that will be my 1st only time doing a DE with NASA however, once you get a good feel and flow of the track with minimal traffic, there is an awesome feeling that comes when you get all the turns almost right, especially from madness back to start/finish
the glen comes down to who has the biggest NOS(nads of steel). it was very intimidating the 1st few times out especially with blue armco, EVERYWHERE. it rained 1st session so that helped for me with going slower and seeing everywhere i needed to be on the track and trying to pick out reference points.
so my 1st session i left the RS in the paddock and took this out
a lovely 87 Audi GT with 130hp, front wheel drive.
that ended up being the only rain we saw and now it was about learning the track and ignoring the armco.

here is my 1st ever video of me driving on here. so i think im ready to handle the critiques, i got my big boy pants on. the 2nd lap on the video is my FASTEST lap of the weekend and you all will see what happens the last 2 corners. so i will need your guys opinions on how fast the lap actually could've been. i also know i didnt shift to 5th on the front straight, only b/c i was working on getting my braking point for turn 1 without scrubbing off too much speed. i tend to over slow sometimes when heel/toeing. so i figured i'd slow down and work on carrying speed in before the track just seemed to vanish right beneath the car going into turn 1

Nice! Getting balked in 10 and 11 = 2 seconds easy.
You need to go down to 3rd in T11, use more apex curb in T1, and upshift to 5th a bit sooner in the esses to aid rotation IMO, which will actually enable more WOT all the way up.

i started the weekend using 3rd in turn 11 and i think in my car its one of those corners where you'll have to look at the data to see if 3rd or 4th gear is faster. almost like turn 16 at sebring
turn 1 felt like you were going off a cliff, i dont think i got it right either day. i knew i didnt want to touch the big gators down at the bottom.
when you say a bit sooner to 5th in the esses. should i shift right after i apex turn 3 the left hander?

Yes, that's where I'd do it, since you're feathering the throttle there waiting for the front end to stick. A super quick lift to upshift would unweight the rear just enough to help finish the rotation, allowing more throttle + a straighter whheel as you crest the hill.

as you can see im home doing nothing for a day so more time for rennlist, i was exhausted yesterday after driving back from NY.
here are some on track pics from mid-ohio and the glen, only 2 of the pics were professionally shot. lewis, i dont doubt your skills with my camera on the other ones though

Great videos guys! I'll be at the Glen in September so I'm really enjoying these videos. Last time I drove the Glen many years ago, it was in an Audi.
I'm very curious as to how regular GT3 gearing would suit that track. I saw a video of Michael (TeamDrugMoney) at the Glen on YouTube running 2:11s in traffic with a regular .2 GT3, and I find it interesting that he keeps it in fourth from the bus stop all the way past the chute and doesn't go down to 3rd until 7. Almost seems like there's plenty left on the table yet his times are already impressive for a non-RS.
What a great track and those armcos are quite distinctive in that blue color... almost looks like a lighter Mexico blue color
