Here's a better comparison for VIR: http://www.fastestlaps.com/tracks/vi...l_raceway.html

There's a 6 second difference between the 997.2 RS and the 997.1 or 997.1 RS which is HUGE. The 997.2 RS is a very fast car

These times are from the Grand East Course which includes A LOT of turns and breaks up the back straight so I'm guessing the advantage on the full course would be even greater for the 997.2.

I think we'll see fairly stock 997.2 RS times at VIR around 2.01 or 2s as time goes by. Rmag ran an 04 last time out in his .2 and I ran an 05 in my .1. I wouldn't be surprised if he sees a high 2.03 later this month with FSR.

996.1 GT3 (360hp) time was 8:03. 996.2 was 7:54. Another one to add is 997.2 Carrera S (385hp/non-X51) PDK sport suspension 7:50. Since this was only 2 secs behind 997.1 GT3/GT3 RS, I would not be surprised if a GTS turns the same times as a 997.1 GT3.

Depends who's driving I guess?

I was there last month. BTG for my current amateur abilities is about 8.25 ish. I was on a full circuit track day, low camera makes it look quick...clip starts at Galgenkopf and the straight is open all the way down. I missed 3rd going up to the Karusell which was a bit shameful but I won't be the last person in the world to do that!
