I was at my dealer today (horn doesn't work...?) and I asked about the 4.0. The salesman I spoke with could not confirm their alotment, which I found surprising. It sounds good, but to date the quoted performance figures do not justify the price increase.

About right. Original allotment was 250 or so, but got cut in half or thereabouts for whatever reason. My dealer is only getting 2 and they got 3 GT2 RSs.

wow its pretty easy to push the price over 200k if you add axle lift and PCCB! make the 3.8 RS look like a bargain!

In my mind if ever there was a Porsche that cried out for a stripper spec this is the one. Delete A/C and PCM, spec lightweight headlights and LiON. Spec steels and immediately replace with a big brake kit or carbon/silicon/carbide rotors.

Putting heavier sport seats (or worse *** seats) and not the carbon fiber sport buckets in it and all the other stuff is to give the middle finger to what the car is all about. As always those stroking the check will spec whatever they want to. If I am fortunate enough to aquire one, mine will be stripper spec.

If you dont spec those (Sports Buckets) you'll end up with the heavier Sports seats ... or worse a free upgrade to the ***!

I agree on everything else, except the l/w headlamps ... if you ever drive at night its worth the weight for the xenons IMHO ... I never want another car
with halogens YMMV
