I hear that USA dealers received their initial allocation of the 4.0 RS today.
If you discovered a spare allocation from a trustworthy dealer at msrp, no nonsense, then please post here or contact me directly if you're so inclined as to offer me the favor.
Thanks in advance.
And to others shopping around for a square deal, happy hunting!

All good things will come to those who wait... Lots are interested, but I will bet that there will be unfilled allocations. I call for 10-15k under sticker in the end for unsold cars

With that said I surely hope my friend CarreraGT finds one at under and I will be glad to eat my words.

Just kidding!
While I don't see $10K or anything under msrp beyond some padding on the trade-in valuation or free freight or maybe a discount on a second set of wheels, I do see the same pattern unfolding like the 2RS. Only this time, the 4.0 is getting high profile, center stage marketing ahead of being available for order. Conversely, the 600 units of the 4.0 is simply 20% more supply than the 500 units of the 2RS, which was not a sell-out success (there's still cars out there, new and "used" with the buyer controlling the market.)
Also in favor of the procrastinator or would-be savvy negotiator is the absence of variables in the car -- it's really only black or white, it's really a car that can't be "hurt" by the options (much as I'd rather a stripper with lighweight headlights, lightweight battery and delete the "best little ***** house in Texas" red velvet cabin trim) these things are not deal-breakers. Burden the car with Nav -- no biggee. Extra leather or carbon cabin trim -- easily discounted.
So I can leave my run late and just about any option list will be fine.
Hopefully my local dealer with get a second car, but with only one coming and there's always a customer higher on the pecker order than me, I need to put another iron in the fire.
The one thing I won't do is pay a premium to any dealer that would try to gouge.

Hmmm, under sticker didn't happen with GT2RS and many sold for over sticker. I find it impossible to conceive of the possibiity of any of the 150 or so 4.0's not being presold well in advance much less selling for 10-15k under. Just not going to happen. Feel free to show me a signed buyers order and prove me wrong.

I know first hand of one 2RS that sold new at a discount, but nowhere near $10K. I don't know first hand of anyone that paid over, but the rumors are there.
I know of one buyer prepared to pay over for the 2RS and was set to suffer the gouge for a car off eBay, but then found one to his liking and the dealer agreed to sticker.
I think PCNA is learning a trick or two about protecting their customers and regulating their dealer network with the carrot instead of the stick. Here's hoping the 4.0 process goes smoothly. I think this 4.0 is one worth getting, but not at any price.

And that is what will determine who has the power. Whether the buyer or seller... Game of chicken...?
Good luck Adam, and try to keep the emotions at bay (yeah, I know, much easier said than done, well for me at least).
