Yup official reproduction of internet blogs & sites. Welcome to the new era of online journalism.
No need to verify anything. Just google it and tweeter the "source"..

Bastards.

+1 No info, just posting some leaked pics, but since these are on all the car sites, I think they are the official leaked pics and thought the comment about the "full story next week" was interesting!

I'd say $20K + sweat. Call it $30K. Makes the "four oh" a bargain at about $150K. But who seriously expects that number?

The same $30K budget could make a 4.0 RSR (wide track, bolt on fenders, 500hp) out of a 3.6 RS. I think that's the play for the slippery slope track rat.

Exactly. If $200K it will set next to a bunch a Speedsters and Ducktails collecting dust.
At $20K over, call it $30k however 500 would be about just right me thinks..

It would be about $30k for the SW3.9. The bodywork installed with the new wheels to go along with it would probably be at least another $50k assuming the parts are from Porsche motorsports if you could even get them.

^that is what I thought but cgt is a smart guy - maybe he has a 4.0 plan other than sw and aftermarket body work...

not that I have $30k laying around anyway but a guy can dream :-)

That's what I decided to do. Buy the car I preferred the look of and then make my own "LE".

Yes, 4.0 stoker motor alone will cost over $30k.

Work on my car is well underway, update and photos to come soon...

eagerly awaiting your results mark - please let me know when done and a dinner on me in Portland

I know you plan individual throttle bodies... do you need to convert from egas to throttle cable to make that work?

I was thinking of the 3.9, not a new crank and a stroker. I don't want to think what factory RSR parts would cost. And this would get a track driver onto the slippery slope, not all the way to the bottom ... not straight away ...

Well at least you've got the LSD and proper gearing.
