I would say the three most important things to look for:
1. Make sure it is a Porsche,
2. Make sure it is a GT3, and
3. Make sure it is an RS.
You should be fine otherwise.
I really just wanted to chime in, and congratulate you. What an awesome car you will have. Do a DME scan (the dealer can do this) and check for over-revs.

The 997.2 gt3RS is an awesome car and the cars you'll be looking at will likely be new or near new. If used, just have it checked for body repairs and get a DME report done as suggested above and you're good to go... There are no other faults common on low mileage cars. Enjoy! You won't be disappointed...

the car is horrible because i can't stop driving the f@cker! took kid to school in it today and he was late because we had to take the long way to school! oh well, its fun to watch 30 5-yr olds all yell, "look at the race car" when you pull up to drop off your kid.
good luck on the search! car is perfect!

Especially if it is still under warranty, which it should be, you have nothing to worry about. Just make sure to check the CL removal nut that it is in the trunk, somehow few were missing
