Who would buy a GT3 RS without a test drive?

Had not laid eyes on a GT3 in person when I first placed an in principle order. I was lucky enough that the dealer got a used 997.1 gt3 before it was time to spec my 997.2 car and I got a few hours of bonding to be sure it was what I wanted since it was my dream car... He even forced me to take a CS out to be sure because he felt so many GT3s get traded back unless purchased by enthusiasts... I guess I'm one of those. Based on the series 1 car, I knew it was the car for me!

When it comes to these cars, test drives are not needed. Last time I've been on a test drive was when my dad was test driving the new at the time 95 Nissan maxima and of course I wasn't even driving then. Lmao

No test drive on my .1 GT3 ( used ) or .2 RS ( new ).... didn't test drive my Ford GT before buying either...just fyi, nobody probably cares about that car here.... I agree with most here, no test drive needed for certain cars... YMMV

If I had never driven a GT3 variant before I would want to drive one before I bought it ... once addicted one does not need to sample the drug to buy another hit!

And this was my exact situation considering I hadn't even been a passenger in one previously... Well said...

I bought both my RS porsches sight unseen.
One with 14k miles and the other with 19k miles.
Couldnt be happier.
As long as these cars have service records and history they are all the same and can be set up to work for the new owner

I test drove each of them for several months in my dreams before mine arrived at the dealer(s)... they all felt exactly the same as in my dream except the Viper, it was a complete & utter disappointment

I took delivery of my new RS in Dec without a test drive.
I have sat in it several times in the garage since and still waiting for the snow to melt.
I have the feeling it's going to be an exciting first date!!

If you are an early buyer of many high end sports cars, you rarely get a chance to test drive one as there isn't one around to try, and in most cases if the dealer has a car it is already pledged to someone else. I bought 2 GT3's, an RS, 2 M5's and an E55 all without the ability to try the car before buying or ordering it. Surprisingly, With Ferrari, you often are more likely to be able to drive a car before ordering one.

This guy bought one based on a test drive of a CS, which he didn't even like. I can see not test driving an RS, because there are so few, but not even trying a regular GT3? Then comparing it to an M3, lol.

M3 is more comfortable than RS? No ****! Saying that he would choose the M3 over 7.3RS just shows that he's not suited (and can't appreciate) to drive a road-going race car.
My favorite parts:
My wife was so upset about the road noise; she wanted me to take the car back to the dealer.
