new GT3RS 4.0L 500HP?

It's the engine. And this little plastic label on the dash, with a printed number, which sets the promise that this car will be appreciated by future buyers. Yes, Apple can provide a laser inscription on billet aluminum in a $500 phone (for no added cost) but Porsche is proud to glue a piece of plastic on the synthetic fabric of the glovebox.

If that's all they've got, my low expectations have been met....barely. They even managed to make the press car look less compelling than the .2, which doesn't look as good as the .1.
So it's pretty simple. How much of a premium do you wanna pay for Mezger's final increment of evolution ? Everything else here is going to be overpriced window dressing.

After all this hype over the past 7 months, this appears to be a let down. I'm sure it will be a great car, but without a real differentiation from the 3.8 RS aesthetically, I will be getting my deposit back. I'd rather wait for the 991 version or maybe get the Superformance GT40 I've been wanting for years.

I'd love a 4.0 with GT2RS fenders and suspension for say $20-25K over the 3.8...
I even like those stripes!
Don't give a crap about LE, I mean what's it worth in 5 years with 50K miles? :-)

ps. If that's the final livery, they've missed the point of buyer remarks on the two previous 3.6 and 3.8 RS's.

IMO, those photos are fake.... if they are real... too bad for Porsche, as they missed an opportunity to do something special. Anyone that has the $$$ to buy a car for $200K+ and is into tracking/racing should just buy a Cup. A 996 for $65-70K and you'll have over $100K for support budget. You will be safer, faster and a better driver in the end. Look, Porsche is never going to make a genuine cup for the street... so either buck up and buy one or quit complaining..... that's what I did. Note... this was not a complaint haha.

Interesting to note this remarkably clear, focused and close up "spy" (cough) pic is exactly the car in the "Porscheleaks" pics, above.
Note the tape over the accent paint in the intakes, next to the single dive planes (somebody post those part numbers, please ...)

those massive front splitter/air dam/side wing thing-ies are good for at least a second or two... huge step up in front grip... no more understeer... i bet this thing handles better than my cup... as it doesn't have those.... sell your mk1's and mk2's, take out a 2nd mortgage and buy this now... call your dealer, put a deposit down, quick! before they're all gone!!!!
