new GT3RS 4.0L 500HP?

Let's say that what we know now about the car is going to be confirmed tomorrow.
I believe that the car is a missed opportunity. As some people have said, for the price differential, it would have been nice to see an RSR exhaust, irrespective of the noise. It would have been nice to see 18in monoblocks by BBS, used on the Cup cars, RSRs and even on the Hybrid racer.
Furthermore, it would have been nice to see a different color - Chartreuse, Blutorange, Leichtgelb - any distinctive old color would do, even as an option.
The canards on the front apron are a joke - look at the ones on the Hybrid racer, or even the ones on the 918.
Again, repeating others, why not the Cup front fender extension?
Motorsport clutch packs in the LSD to increase longevity?
Cup final drive for even shorter gearing.
All those changes are available off the shelf in Weissach.
RSR crankshaft is the only distinctive part in the entire car.
I am saddened by Porsche. Cayman R, Speedster, and now this. Disappointing.

It came out of the spare parts bin at VW rather than Porsche... Similar to the Golf GTI steering wheel... Obviously, VW got a really good buy on them...

The pics are obviously photo shopped. Just with every other Porsche press pictures. But if you guys think that this isn't the 4.0 that's coming you're just in denial at this point. The above spy pic said it all. After that we all knew it wasn't going to have RSR bits.

sorry but this car is just not of consequence. who cares? i mean sharkwerks has had a 500 hp motor since the 997.1! if this is the best porsche could do it should have at least come before the gt2rs. just hope the next gen gt3 brings more to the table

i agree with CGT.
4.0L, 500hp and HUGE fender flare, maybe 13" front 15" rear would be enticing.
making the rear brakes like the front so i can change pads without destroying the entire car would be nice.
but all the other stuff really aint that important.
many are stuck on monoball this or that. i have had several cars on monoball, i mean EVERYWHERE, more than oem cup cars. you dont need it unless you routinely out drive patrick long and lap jorg b.
LSD is not a big deal. even the "real LSD" dies. it's like tires. a wear tear item. just put PMNA or GT or OSGiken on and call it a day. nothing to whine about.
the CL i hate it but not enough to break a deal.
coolant lines, i dont like it. but guess what, they wont fix it, not yet any ways. so if you dont like it, tough.
RMS.... well, we all know this one.
they can't please everyone, but they do need to get the major things right. motor, gearbox, and a fat round perky tight ***. if the *** is wrong, no matter how big the motor or the ***** are, it's pointless.
