Default Michelin PROMISE

Michelin have just introduced a new tyre warranty here:

http://www.michelinman.com/promise/

- 30 day 'trial' period
- 3yr "flat tyre" changing assistance
- limited wear warranty

http://www.michelinman.com/media/en-...wners_Manu.pdf

This will cover the Super Sport when launched, and presumably (although I am not certain) the Cup Sports also.

There are exclusions (as you would expect) for track use.

Also note that "staggered" fitments (like those on pretty much any 911) as special, where one axle (rear) only receives 50% warranty.

At canadian tire if they sell you the tires and install them on rims, they offer a complete road hazard warranty for $6.99 a tire... how 'bout them apples? All the warranties are done in house and on the spot if you qualify. It also covers the tire on the opposite side of the car and all four tires if it's an AWD car.

Can be applied to any brand we have national accounts with. Too bad tire prices in Canada are about 30% more expensive.

Larry,

Any idea when the actual date will be for availability of the Super Sports in GT3 fitments? I see on TireRack's website they say April 15. I need a new set of rears badly, but not sure I can wait, especially if they get delayed, which always seems to happen.

I will ask, but I think that they are all due for launch on 5/15 ... when they arrive at TR is another matter

note these are NOT N-spec which will come "sometime in the future" ... at least if you dont like them you can take them back in 30 days!

I clicked on the web site michelinman.com/promise/ and Porsche is NOT listed as one of the manufacturers.

I spoke to Tire Rack today, they will have 305's, but not 325's for the rear for the Super Sports.

3-year warranty, huh?

With the torque my Porsche's put out, I have trouble keeping a set of tires for 3 months.

Aha the tire is not yet available for any other manufacturer than ferarri at this time.

The tire will launch 5/15 when it will be available in a variety of fitments.

The warranty is not manufacturer specific afaik

Yeah sorry no dates for the RS rear availability. We may have to wait for N spec!
