2 days drift training followed by 2 days at the ring sounds like a ball. Does the gforce price include a car or do you use your own (tyres)? You'd really want a couple of days in the Alps as well, surely? The mountain passes are astonishing.
I've done the Silverstone experience you get as a new car buyer. That's a half day and you get a lot of driving. Excellent facility with various skid pads and the handling course. Good fun and very educational but not sure if it's worth the hassle of getting to/from if you're also going to Germany. Leipzig sounds as good or better. The M25 (London bypass) is more of a car park than an Autobahn!

Hey I got a quote for shipping (in a 40's container, shared) from Rinkens; $1175 from L.A to Antwerp, $375 to flatbed from SF to LA ... 1.5% of value due for insurance. So it looks like $2500 each way for the car insured.
I also have a quote into GEICO for coverage in EU ... will post results of that.

A friend and I have been talking about a similar trip over the past couple weeks. However, we don't wanted to get tangled with the effort in bringing our cars over.
Any suggestions for doing track days overseas, including the ring, using rentals? I'm not really worried about setting records, it would just be fun to experience some different tracks while on a euro tour.

your other choice to to take your chance with a mainstream rental agency. they all specifically exclude the track in their policies and photographers can recognize the plates of their fleet cars. You may be liable for some steep severe usage fees such as replacing tires and brakes. I think they would pay more attention to their sports cars condition versus the standard fleet cars so if you rent something that doesn't stand out so much that might be a safe bet. PM me and I can at least help you with a few of the guest houses that rent their cars. When are you coming out?

Zandvoort and Amsterdam.. I'd be scared to take my car into A'dam..But at least I speak the language ;-)
I got bad news from BofA yesterday. Must pay off car before shipping anywhere. No alternatives possible.
I will start getting shipping quote from Miami, Euro insurance from Geico, contact Manthey about storage and their track day and decide next week.
The alternative is to rent a car again, just change pads and tires, but the dream bucket list item is to do it in my own car.

Zandvoort as well! Are there any banks nearby I could rob to fund this trip? Or - I could take some drugs with me to sell in Amsterdam!
