Maybe Pete's talking about using Harbor Freight jacks with the Jackpoints?

Could be. Pete's one of the original Jackpoint owners. He has the very rare "early label" stands .

They can be shipped to Europe now that we have a CC# from the US Dept of Commerce. Shipping is still high - but not much worse than domestic charges to Hawaii and cheaper and faster than South America. There are some in Sweden and Switzerland - but no European distributor yet.

Are you already discussing with someone? Otherwise I could hear around.

We're still in preliminary stages. We've been alerted to initial contacts but have not had specific conversations. We're always glad to receive new information. Thanks

On back order, do you know when more matte finish will be in stock?

Should have more in a week, but they go out as fast as they come in. We got inventory on Tuesday - sold out Friday. Send an email to john@jackpoint.us and indicate you're a paid Rennlist member. That's the fastest way to get the best deal.

I know we have been out of stock almost constantly. I think we'll soon have a solution as the production has been moved to a foundry with greater production capacity. Don't worry - we're still manufacturing in Illinois with the same company. They have a larger facility and responded to my constant calls for more product.

Just an FYI for Jackpoint owners. I know having more height is not the common issue, but I wanted a touch more working height for my sedan (greater ground clearance and more suspension movement). The recessed pad allows that with either the low profile or the standard pad. I just had the opportunity to use this configuration and snapped a "phonto".

what is max size of jack frame outside to outside that will fit in the stands? and then the max size of the saddle that actually lifts? I guess those are the two things need to know to make sure they work right?

Would be nice to get an extra 6 or 8 inches for bigger jobs. Maybe a two-stage jacking process?

Generally - the front half of the jack should be under 12" wide and the jack saddle should be between 3.5 inches and 5 inches in diameter. There are further fitment details on the website.
