Jpoint,

I have the same problem with clearance. I bought a set of Tomioka Racing Super Slopes off ebay (around $60 shipped IIRC) that solved my problem. Very light and easy to drive up on being only 2.5" high.
No affiliation.

The other way is to use a second floor jack on the other same side lift point to just lift and inch or two. But, of course this means having two floor jacks with you--not a problem at home. I actually take two of those small floor jacks to the track anyway--with my suspenders and belt.

Hot off the production line - a new option. This lower pad. It will be available with a center hole and pin like the low profile pad. It's half an inch lower (5/8" lower in the recessed area). It can also be used with jack pads from other vendors. We will also test its stability for stacking with another Jackpoint pad for additional height (the groove in the top is concentric to the bottom of the other pads)

Mine arrived today to my holiday resort in Florida.

I'm so delighted with the customer service. Second to none!

Glad that worked out. I don't know if you plan to open them before you go home, but there's something in there you can use while you're in Florida. Enjoy the vacation!

I'll save the surprise until I'm back in Sweden. Hopefully it will be useful even in Sweden.

It'll work there too. BTW is duty or tax lower on used items going back? If so maybe we can find an RLer to swing by and test them.

I think so but I'm not absolutely sure. What is RLer?

BTW: When I checked in my suitcase with 1 pair of stands in the weight ended up on 22.8 kg , the limit is 23 kg's :-)

RLer = Rennlist member. I figured if someone came by and tried them on their car, the stands would be officially "used" - thus lower duty . Sounds like you're already headed back(?). Glad you're in under the limit. Does that mean there was no baggage charge for the stands?

Now I'm back home in my TV-sofa. Yes you are right about the fact that there was no baggage charge for the stands. I was fortunate enough to have a large and lightweight suitcase

BTW I had a interesting trip back home with 23 kg of stands, 8 kg's brake pads and 2 kg's GT2 swaybar.

I had the swaybar and the pads in my cabin bagage.

US Security check said that it was OK to bring the parts aboard the plane in my cabin bagage as long as I didn't kill anyone with them :-) . The guy who approved my cabin baggage had a couple of classic american cars and 1 Porsche :-)

When I switched plane in Germany the German Security Check was not as cooperative :-( so I had to check in the swaybar and the pads, which was a story in it self. Anyway nothing is broken and I ended up getting no extra costs for the extra bag I checked in.

And by the way, thanks for the present :-)

You're welcome and congratulations on having what I believe is the first pair of Jackpoint Jackstands in Sweden. I mentioned your other luggage items to my wife and she said, "why am I not surprised that a Porsche owner would take a vacation and return home only with souviners for his car. He sounds just like you." I said, "well next time I'll take the car on vacation, leave you at home and bring back a souviner for you - everybody wins".

I just wanted to toss out a big thanks to John at Jackpoint. I ordered 4 stands with low profile caps back in April and then some regular pinch weld caps last week. John is great, even gave me the Rernnlist discount without asking. Super customer service and a great product. Thanks again.

Here's a question for the membership. Anyone have an international shipping connection? We receive several inquiries per week (England, Europe, Canada, Brazil, Mid East, Australia) and thus far the USPS is cheapest - but still pretty high. Our mates in England and Europe might even put together group buys for a multi set shipment. If there's a Rennlister in the business - might as well keep it in the family.
