Better Daily Driver: GT3 or RS?

I've seen tons of threads comparing GT3s to Turbos, but not a lot of conversations comparing the GT3 to the RS for daily driving purposes. Assuming an RS equipped with amenities like Sound Package Plus, and perhaps Adaptive Sport Seats, does it make a better or worse daily driver than the regular GT3? Is it harsher? More prone to needing service/repairs? Scarier in the rain? Anything else?
Thanks!
Thanks!

If you're driving any distance at all, need to haul anything or more than one person, have less than perfect roads, or might be subjected to any traffic... Then I would not recommend either for daily.
They're pretty close. Although the RS clutch is even heavier.
My office is about 50 miles from house. The GT3 gets really old after about 40 minutes. Especially in congested areas. It's not that you can't, but why?

I daily drive mine.(gt3) Love it, only prob for me is brake squeal, which does drive me nuts, working a solution.
And i think the only difference between the 2 in terms of daily drivability is rear view, not sure if its easier to see out of rs from rear view mirror due to higher wing or worse.
not sure how door pulls work either
and there are times i cant park places or go into parking lots or driveways cause the angle is too steep, so i wish i had front nose lift system

they are the same for DD.
both are obnoxious and showing on the street.
GT3 wing isn't that much smaller than RS both are cop bait.

GT3 is slightly better IMHO:
- DMFW more refined than LWFW
- Glass rear window and more sound insulation
- Narrower bodyshell a bit easier in tight spaces
- Better rear visibility without the cage etc
No problems with ramps or car parks if you have the lifting system

RS not the better option for DD...The large wing renders the R view mirror useless...
No insulation means you will hear every little stone hitting the wheel well and you will hear the woosh sound clear in the rain which makes the blue tooth somewhat useless...
As far as the seats, they are comfy but difficult to get in and out of....

I remember someone describe the the cars something like this:
The GT3 is a street car you take to the track while the RS is a track car you can drive on the street.
Personally since my car will spend more time on the street I prefer the GT3, if it was the other way around I would have gone RS.

No question the light weight flywheel is a bit of a pain on the street.
ELMEL is in the States, so the RS gets the glass rear window here, so that's not a factor. Likewise, the RS doesn't come with the rear roll bar here either.
Narrow body being a benefit on the street seems a bit of a stretch. Are the 997 forums full of Turbo, Targa, and C4 drivers complaining that their cars are too wide? Has anyone ever argued that a TT is inappropriate for the street because it's too hard to maneuver?
I daily drive my 997.1 RS. It's not much fun and I wouldn't recommend it, but it's not absurd or impractical. Ground clearance really the only thing that drives me crazy. You have to have kung-fu car control skills to take every parking lot ramp at an angle and it still scrapes most of the time.

^Why is the LWFW a pain on the street?
All my P cars had one. The noise you mean?
I like the noise too btw.
+1 on the nose clearance but solutions do exist.

Depends entirely on the seats given the cars are pretty close. The seats make it night and day. I had a 2010 GT3 with the sport buckets and then moved to a 2011 GT3RS with adaptive sport seats (wasn't my choice). The RS is WAY more comfortable to the point it almost feels like an M3 with the adaptives. BUT the RS is much noisier. The sound package plus hardly that. The RS drone noise on highways is noticebly higher than compared to my old GT3. You really have to turn the stereo pretty loud in the RS to enjoy music. If you want a do it all car track/commuter car the standard GT3 with adaptive seats and axle lift would be your best bet. If I were you, I'd get a used civic to commute and get a RS with buckets for the track.
