I've seen tons of threads comparing GT3s to Turbos, but not a lot of conversations comparing the GT3 to the RS for daily driving purposes. Assuming an RS equipped with amenities like Sound Package Plus, and perhaps Adaptive Sport Seats, does it make a better or worse daily driver than the regular GT3? Is it harsher? More prone to needing service/repairs? Scarier in the rain? Anything else?
Thanks!
Thanks!

LWF is a "bit" trickier for some in daily traffic but other than that.... The tires aren't great in standing water....

GT3 with lift is great! I wouldn't hesitate to DD drive mine, but I drive a SUV to the office. My gf despises the bluetooth in the SUV, but is fine with it in the GT3.....go figure. Sound package plus is not that bad imo. Also, the standard seats are quite supportive, much lighter and simpler than adaptives, and easier for entry/exit than sport buckets.

Wow, lots of great feedback as always. Thanks guys!!!
Re the widebody comment, I have a Turbo S now and have no issues. Plus, I prefer the widebody look, everything else being equal.
I guess my concerns are more about comfort. I get that the GT3 isn't a comfortable car per se, but I've driven one and think I could handle it as a daily driver. I've never driven the RS though, which is why I'm seeking your help.
I've been using my Turbo S as a DD for the last four years and I've been loving every second of it. It makes the commute something I look forward to. So, no, no Civic for me. I'll be using whatever 911 I end up in. Though if I end up with an RS, and it scares the p!ss out of me in the rain, then I can imagine possibly buying a Cayenne to supplement the 911. Time will tell, I guess.

If you're gonna regret not getting an RS then that's your answer, if not get the GT3. They're both about the same on the street with the 3 getting the nod. Of course the nod goes to the RS on the track.
Keep in mind I took out all the sound deadening, I have the RSR steering wheel, all of the tarret/metal suspension bits, ultra aggressive track alignment, clubsport seats, six point harnesses, rollcage and oh yeah I have NO mufflers!

The only hinderence to daily comnfort in my RS is the wing, I am to laze to adjust it for the street, so it always sits at max angle and have a gurney flap, so rear view mirror is useless. You can fix that by aiming the side mirrors behind you and always look over shoulder when changing lanes. I have not driven a MKII GT3, so don't know howm much the view is blocked.
Like Mooty says, give it a little more gas with the LWFW, but no biggie.
Get the nice ***.

I don't feel like the US version of the RS is as big a leap from the regular GT3 vs the Euro version. Six and one half... Cosmetically the RS def looks better.
I still say they both suck as a daily driver for reasons previously stated. And I have to believe that all things being equal... The guy who daily drives the GT3 will get more speeding tickets vs the guy in the SUV due to the high profile nature of the car.

seriously, how are these cars loud?
your wives and kids dont scream? they are much louder.
when i want peace and quiet, i go wot on the RS. the soft white noise is soothing.

both GT3 and RS are the same as DD.
Both are low clearance, limited sound deadning and high reving engines.
the RS however draws more unwanted attention in parking lots and traffic.
But you can DD these as i do.... think of it as a hot rod 911 car from the factory.
I do however sometimes dream about a tip C4S as my DD.... but im still too young to think about that
