Got the "new" motor mounts from Rennline. Compared to the pics that Mikymu posted, it looks like the new one is slightly thinner on the edge (see how much material is between the holes and the edge.. unless the holes are now larger in the new mounts..) in order to clear the bolts.

Also see that the aluminum washers w/ the squares are now included.

Rennline listened to the feedback and now the mounts should be plug 'n play. Nice! Well, we will find out soon.. since these will go on a 6GT3, not a 7.

Sweet! You are much close to rennline than me. My updated mounts are still in the mail. Will post update once I get my GT3 engine mounts

Yes, it only took 3 days or less to get here.

Unfortunately, the driveway / street are covered w/ snow right now. I won't be able to go out for a drive after the change. I will still install it sometimes this weekend, though.. !

I am kind of worried about having solid mounts on the rear but the front (tranny mount?) still has play, wouldn't this be bending the motor mount somehow since there's no gives? (and create some sort of fatigue on the metal) Have you looked into the metal tranny mount from the Cup car to complete the package?!

Dude! hard core ... still awake? It's like 3 AM your time

No worry with these solid mounts. For what you and I do with our GT3/RS, it will not post any problems. Cup car's engine mount bracket is know to crack with time due to all the vibration but that's with real racing. Most just weld the crack and keep on driving

I don't mind cracking the motor mounts.. (easily replaceable) I don't want the chassis to be affected, etc. (bending the chassis) It is unlikely, of course, based on the setup.. the motor mounts go on top of that box section. I doubt any sort of bending moment would be transferred to the chassis.

Yeah, still up, goof around.. hey, long weekend, you know!

Bastard! Wife on call Sunday so I got kids and I had to do telephone advice the same day. Wish I have a long weekend.

Yeah, the engine bracket I refer to is not the chassis but rather the bracket bolt on the engine block that connects to the engine mount. I was told Cup car's engine bracket crack with racing - well known issue to look out for. That's out of our league ...should be none issue unless you start racing PCA 10 times a year

I'm sure Mike will be able to provide a feedback quicker than me, as we are still covered under snow here in the northeast. I think I am gonna be awhile before I install them and test drive it. (as I'm thinking about upgrading the tranny mount at the same time..)

Not noticeable around town but very noticeable when driven in anger.

Checked with Rennline and they said both side would work.
So I guess it doesn't really make a difference.
