Hi
I just changed my tires from oem19 to lighter 18's. My traction control now lights up more often than before 10 is to 1. The car feels more unplanted and the traction control begins to light especially on roads that slopes down. Only when I pass 120 miles when the car begins to dance a little making you feel nervous . Can anyone please tell me a solution to my problem.
thanks!

Too many unknowns.
What sizes you are running now? Is the f to r ratio within a reasonable range?
what brand?
Did you recheck your alignment and heights?

I am using michelin 18;s alignment was checked when the new tires were installed 3 months ago and heights still the same. The car is stock no changes has been made except for the new tires. The original semi slick tires 19's were too bumpy and hard on the ride to the point I can't bring the car far from my place. The new 18's (not semi slick) are firm but just right. The problem is the car feels nervous at high speed. I was thinking my new rim OZ might be too light which weighs 18 pounds lighter than the original 19's. Can this be the problem.

I put 18" Hoosiers R6's on my 2011 GT3 and don't have of the issues that you mentioned, total of 6 track days on the 18" wheels & tires with no noticeable difference on track from the 19" OEM wheels and tires. The cars has seen speeds of 160 mph at Miller on the front straight, car felt very stable to me.
18" Forgeline Centre Lock wheels with the following tires sizes:
Hoosier R6
Front: 245/35ZR18
Rear: 315/30ZR18
Good luck with your concerns.

I tried a set for about 2500 miles this spring on my 3.9. It was not a comfortable experience. As a matter fact it was down right scary, especially on the higher speed corners. I'm back to my 3000 miles a set MPSC's.
