Default Sebring question

For those of you who have spent some time in a 997.1 gt3

My car is set up stock, with sport cups. It was quite amazing, but need setting advise

I had a problem with the car understeering in 10 ( a little in 7 )

Had my instructor drive it and he noticed the same thing

Can I fit this with alignment?

Step 1.

Start with the recommended track setting that you can find in the back of your owners manual. You can always modify from that point to fit your comfort level.

Step 2.

A lot of guys on this forum like the GT2 sway bars which is an easy mod. Look up the past threads on this.

Hope this helps you get started.

Those are the understeering corners.

If you take understeer out of the car, the car might be (Too) lose on the faster oversteering corners.
Everyone sets up the car a bit different. What camber and sway bar settings did you run?

Set up will help, just depends on how you like the car to handle(Style). Also, the track conditions(ambient temp etc)will hamper what your trying to accomplish. Remember slow in, fast out.

If u haven't done many trackdays with gt3 and u still familiarizing yourself with car- understeer does have more of a safety window. If so I would keep it stock. Mike

Start with a known alignment for .1 GT3. If you have not had it aligned since you got it who knows what it came with from the factory. My 6GT3 came new with toe out on 1 side in the rear, that was really interesting.

If your tires are like new, or when you get new tires get the car corner balanced and alligned with a mild track allignment. It's in your manual. Then just start middle setting of the sway bar and go soft one end first, then softer or stiffer on the other end. Not sure if that is the right way to do it, but that's how I got to an allignment that feels good.
