Default Club Sport rollbar mounting plates

Does anybody know the part number for the mounting plates for the Club Sport rollbar? I've got an order pending, but am being held up with a bad number. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if there are mounting plates from porsche, when I bought mine Clubsport rollbar, I installed using plates that were made by the shop guys.

Thats kind of what I'm finding out. I want to make the install as easy as possible for the dealers race shop. FVD does have mounting plates available... apparantly from the Motorsport department. I ordered them from there.

My dealer said the clubsport rollbar from Porsche is no longer available and wont be sold in the USA even though there are 20+ in stock. This was 2 weeks ago fyi. I'd check you can actually buy it, if your sourcing from Porsche in the USA.

FVD sell the bar and plates. they get them straight from germany. parts numbers are on their website.

Porsche dealers will not be allowed to sell non D.O.T approved items for obvious reasons.

the 20+ bars left in stock will hopefully end up in the right hands.

i would buy them all if i could in order to help supply all the 997's over time

I ended up ordering the plates from FVD. For some reason Carnewals source couldn't match that number up with anything. Part #996.580.982.99

From my understanding you dont have to weld in the rollbar if you have the plates?

Thats right... you just weld in the plates.

I guess there are some that just bolt the rollbar direct to the tub. The correct way would be to weld in some reinforcement plates for the bar to attach to.

You can also use the Porsche Tequipment bolt in roll bar - still available from Carnewal.com

yes, the clubsport bar is a stronger bar that also allows the installation of the front cage which is 24 hour nurburg legal.......

but if you mainly require harness mounts than the tequip bar is the bar you want.

you can weld in the bar which is the best application for safety. you can also sandwich the bar to the tub with bolts.

welding in plates to keep bar bolt able is the best for resale but the integrity is questionable.
