The Pikes Peak GT2 RS is going up for auction next month. Jeff Zwart drove this to and up Pikes Peak (before the entire course was paved) in 2011 setting a record for street legal production cars at the time. This was a PCNA press car before the Pikes Peak event. Remember this car being for sale 2-3 years ago for $650k or so.

I see he did a conversion to a SMG transmission, which I guess makes sense for that application. A NASCAR driver local to me did the same conversion on his 997 GT2 RS, but oddly, I believe that's the only mod.

Whoever had it over the last few years drove it a good amount. Had 10k miles in September of 2020, just under 20k in June 2022, and now has 26k miles. This particular car is not super mileage sensitive due to its previous history.

Looks like this one hasn't been driven often, but certainly an adventurous 5k miles.

Local car to me and a very impressive example. It's an RS+ in terms of performance and presents very well in person. Definitely a lot of performance in that one...I believe he told me 800 hp when I saw it in person a couple of years ago when we had a local photo shoot together.

Its going to be really interesting to see how this one does. Accident on the car fax, moderately high miles (for some), mileage discrepancy (carfax shoes 44k miles but odometer is at 29k...seller states simply that carfax is "in error," but that's going to be an issue for whoever buys this when they go to sell), and of course the extent of modification is going to turn off most of the folks who might normally be interested. I love the car, but man, if I were going to modify a 997 to that extent, I'm pretty sure I would have just started out with a 997tt. For me at least, part of the appeal of the 997 gt2 is that you don't have to stray too far from stock (and stock reliability) to get it to pretty potent power/speed levels (i.e., tune, ic's, exhaust). For reference a 6k mile also white and also highly modified gt2 (with an engine displacement increase if I recall correctly) went for 265-ish on pcarmarket.

I sure like the way this car looks though, and the builders were top notch (evospec (who built my 3.9), cantrell, and CMS (who built my transmission). So its not like corners were cut on this build!

I do think you're right @ScottArizona and I therefore already predict a great deal or an RNM are the only results for this one. I'd love to own it, but I like modified examples and of course mileage doesn't scare me off either. Eagerly following it.

The Carfax issue is simply kilometers vs miles. The car is set to kms and Cantrell recorded it in the system as miles, hence the discrepancy. Simple as that.

My car, sadly too much trouble to import it over here so it must be sold. Bid early, bid often.
