To be launched tomorrow. Very interesting and not bad looking. http://www.porsche.com/microsite/int...rnational.aspx

I just saw this myself. One of the best looking cars I've seen and with a 7:30 ring time. I'd gladly be rid of my RS for that although I'd rather it be a non-hybrid car.

Ugh, hybrids. Hundreds of pounds of batteries. Way more electronics.

No thank you, sounds like the opposite of the whole GT3/GT2 concept.

Fascinating study, intriguing car to say the least. Half of me is amazed at Porsche for working on an alternative to the upcoming stringent fuel standards that could strangle them (at least before VW stepped in), the other half is thinking how complex future cars are going to be. You think the Toyota deal was ugly? Wait until stuff like this is "mainstream," you will never own a car that is out of warranty, plus the driving dynamics can't help but be changed by the extra weight. A lightweight car will now be in the 3200-3400 pound range.
I think as far as collector cars go, Porsche just made their last one with the RS.

todays hybrids will not stand the test of time..... it is only a "quick fix" for the new generation......

(i have a lexus 400h mind you)

20 years from now we will look back at early hybrids and laugh at how far we came from the caveman approach.

I love the car, but have no interest as it will be priced over the CGT.
