I ran back in april with shark weeks bypass and the plug and it worked great. No issues.

I am not clear on this. In Mikymu's 2nd photo he shows a jump wire on the terminals. Is this needed too?

Bob mentions pulling hose at other end and plugging with a screw which I would think would have the same effect also?

I want to go to Laguna end of August. My car is stock 2008 with all mufflers and no bypass.

Thanks.

toomey: It's really simple. Simply cover the nipple in the right side of the engine bay. Takes 3.2 seconds or less! If you have any issues, i'm very close. Happy to show you.

As I recall the .1 and .2 setups are effectively the same, all you will need is the rubber vacuum cap to seal the valve on the underside of the control mechanism that is located on the right side of the engine compartment... the hardest part is pushing the rubber cap on ... takes but an instant!

see picture #1 in the 1st post ... pop the rubber cap over the metal fitment you are done, you dont even have to detach the gray control unit ... nor do you have to unplug or "jump" the wiring to the right.

To clarify, the pic in post one shows the switch disconnected. In situ, the port that needs to be plugged points down. The hardest part will be getting your hand in there in a position to place the cap without dropping it!

Thank you for the clarification.

Hope to see some of you guys with POC end of August if I make it up there this year.

my GT3 solenoid went kaput and while new solenoid arrives , did the Laguna Seca mod, with 5/16" vacuum hose connector.

People who knowingly move next to a race track should not cry about how loud the cars and track can get. Especially since the track has been there much longer than the homes; Circa 1957!

Reminds me of those towns that emerge near highway, because it's convenient. Then put a school on the highway, again, because it's convenient for a school bus and such. And then strangle the highway with 25MPH speed limit, because of school zone and sometimes even petition for moving/closing highway.
