Default 997 GT2 - Akrapovic (installation pics)

A few pics from today of my 997 GT2 Akrapovic exhaust install. The fit & quality of all components was first class. The complete installation process took 4 hours. I removed both intercoolers for better access. The sound is also great, absolutely no droning at any speed. Will post video later of the sound. Cheers.

Yep, it has a much louder idle & louder bark under load. I guess it's because of the open exhaust chamber within the muffler. Will post vid of the sound soon.

This is a piece of art, i love their cast header flanges ! You must have picked a few hp too due to the muffler conception vs stock and the 100cel cats vs 200cel.

Cheers

Ok, maybe it's just me, but exhaust sound at idle RPM and a few blips at couple 100's over isn't much to judge anything by....

But it sure is pretty....

Yeah, it's just you - noone ever judged an exhaust by listening to an online sound clip, the owner is generously sharing his fun with static and moving pics with some sound - love it

In case someone want to check the quality with big pics, found the goods, click on each pic to have the supersize one (don't want to crash the forum).

the cast headers inlets are marvellus to keep serious flow, no welds !

These pics are amazing, thanks for sharing! Did you have the chance to measure the weight difference of the titanium akrapovic headers vs the stock ones? I assume it must be >10kgs?

Now.. if only the "moving pics" actually showed the car moving... with some sound....

It must be a "form over function" thing... still it's a very aesthetically pleasing system!
