www.carnewal.com sells a system which does the same. It is with a remote control. Takes 10 seconds to install, plug and play. I'll make a vid of it one of these days. Really handy in cases where you want the noise all the time, or never. And it also remembers the last position of the valves.

I've always wondered on the function of the flapper. What do they actually do?

The first couple of posts in this thread illustrate how the exhaust flaps work.

Has anyone done this on a .2 RS yet? I'm wondering if that vacuum control is in the same spot.

Does polarity matter in actuating the vacuum control?

I'm thinking I'll add a small fuse to the 12v line running from the cabin to the engine bay, just in case.

Anyone else at Laguna in a .2 RS this Fri-Sun?

So what is exactly happening when the sport mode is on? Obviously the center muffler is involved whether its on or off.

Where is the exhaust being routed when its on? Does it totally bypass the side mufflers altogether?

I confirmed on mooty's 2010 RS that you guy shave the same vacuum valve. Just bring a plug if you are not going to do this switch thing. I gave mooty my last plug. Adding a fuse is a good idea

Sport on will divert the exhaust away from side mufflers. Sport off will have exhaust going through side muffler until you pass around 4K RPM - that's when the vacuum valve kick in and open the lower flaps so exhaust bypass the side mufflers

So if you run a center muffler delete pipe and the sport button on, you are essentially running with no mufflers at all?

Pretty much. Side muffler still work as a resonance chamber even when the exhaust is not going through it so it is not as loud as straight pipes. 400 cells OEM cats also muffle the exhaust to some degree

Thanks! That was what I was looking for - a remote switch and perhaps locate it on the steering wheel with some modification of the steering wheel cover.

Just finished the remote valve switch and wanted to say a very very big thanks mikymu !!!

You're right about the interior parts... It Sucks

But the results is simply great !!!!

No more plugging the valve and open exhaust except where the DB meters are :-))

Thanks for the clear instruction guide
