Mike, get the WEVO engine mount and you will like the improvement!

Oh, I just checked their website and it's out of stock less than two weeks from their last shipment. It is a super popular item. Better get a set before they ran out again ... or worst get infected by the dreaded Porsche tax bug

997 SS Engine Mounts
Price: $198.75
(priced individually)
Currently Out of Stock
Expected Availability: March 25th

You need 2, so that's $400, right?

Engine mounts are wear items.. so sounds like when the OEM one is worn, this would be the way to go.. (probably cheaper than OEM too?)

I just got the Wevos put in my '10 GT3 and the improvement is FANTASTIC! I had little more than 5 miles of a test drive, but the improvement is sooooooo worth it! I am looking forward to getting it out on track next week at VIR and will have more to report.

Don't know the price of OEM engine mount but no need to wait till OEM is worn to replace it since it is no good from the get go. Yes, WEVO is about $400 for a pair

WEVO is the best option short of opting for the electromagnetic engine mount shown below. Good to hear you like the improvement. I am still amazed at how well my car handle on the track after installing the WEVO engine mount. Let us know how it goes at VIR.

Mike - did you install a by pass at the same time?
It looks like the center muffler is off.

Or does the center muffler need to come off to access the lower 18mm nut?
BTW great DIY write-ups Mikymu!!

I did my WEVO mounts a week ago and no you don't need to remove anything to get to the mounts, it's a 30-60 minute process depending on your shop equipment.

Guys, ignore what the rest of my car looks like. I like to time myself taking off body panels, exhaust, brakes etc to better prepare myself for a job at Jiffy lube LOL

No need to take off any exhaust or rear bumper. Just follow my instruction and it's as easy as one two three. Md11skipper did it with his eyes close and one hand tied behind his back in 30 minutes

Sounds great. You will like the improvement. Do you have to wait till they get the next batch or were you able to get the last couple set?
