Default GT3 Rear Bumper Guards

I never really noticed the ugly square bumper guards on the back of the GT3 (well I guess its on all 997s.) until they were referenced in another thread somewhere. Now that they are pointed out, they look ugly as sin! Any options to get rid of those in a way that looks good?

Remember the ugly front bumperettes when the 996TT was first released? The rear bumperettes are virtually invisible comparatively. The rear ones actually came in handy on my 996GT3. I got rear ended at a stop light by a woman reaching down to pick something up that she had dropped - lipstick I think. All it did was knock one of the bumperettes off and was a fairly simple repair. I still don't like the look though.

I put the Euro bumper on my RS...cleaned-up the rear end, and lightened the right end.
Love it!

you can also take it to the your body shop and have them fill in and color match the bumper.

I have seen this done alo and it came out very nice.

I also have them deleted on my car.. but I put in a 100% carbon fiber bumper.

Trust me, you will appreciate them when you take a minor read ending. Then, you have a minor piece or two to replace, vice the entire rear end. Get over it.

Get over it??? Maybe other than a deer hitting me maybe I never have been to a body shop in 1.5 million miles of driving. Now when I account for racing...OK...maybe I wrote off 1 or 2! (LOL)

Karl - you need to speed up if you get rear ended by a deer!
