Default 997 GT2 - RS Tuning 600PS

My Tuning package arrived today . Refitted the ECU tonight, will install the headers, cats & airfilter on Thursday. Purchased the package via Gert @ Carnewal....great service.

Great news, thanks for sharing, fun times ahead

You have the same Cargraphic sticker as our Canadian friend which states 811NM - the question is, is the 811NM a typo since CG state 798NM in their sales literature ?

Congrats, eagerly awaiting your impressions! Have you driven it w/ just the ECU before the rest of the install?

Well a little pissed off at present. Drove the car last night after fitting the ECU. Several errors when I started the car. Thought I would clear them tomorrow when I fit the cats, etc at the garage. Went to start the car today. More & More errors codes PASM failure, ABS failure, TC failure, Telling me to depress clutch (but clutch is already depressed)….car will not start. Went to recheck the connections on the ECU. All connections 100% OK. But the ECU is very very HOT. Too hot to touch. Disconnected battery again… ECU cools off after 5 minutes, reconnect it gets HOT again. Awaiting response from Cargraphic / RS Tuning.
In the meantime….is it possible for me to order a duplicate (original) ECU from Porsche ?

Lets hope they sort it quickly.....

Can you tell me the numbers and data printed on your cats, I am interested to know which units they sold you, I can compare to my 200 cell CG units.
Edit: No need I can make them out, just, Yours are the expensive race 100 cell from "HJS Motorsport" my 200 cell have "HJS Tuning" stamped on them

If it is not the connections something may have come loose inside, is it worth cracking it open and taking a look ?
I know once I had a similar problem with a Protomotive chipped ECU and it was a bit off loose solder inside the box.
I would take a peek and see if it is anything obvious, if it is not then you might as well ship it back direct to RS as there is something amiss big time if it is getting so hot !

I would assume RS Tuning would still have my file. What's the chance of them sending me a replacement ECU ?

I just updated my Durametric...will try and get a few codes.

I am currently speaking/e-mailing via Gert (Carnewal) & Alex (Cargraphic). Not good news with the Durametric error codes "Module Failed To Initialize" .

On the case - once i know something I will let you know.

RS/Cargraphic are good people - I reckon they wil sort you out - makes me feel bad i gave them "they are gods" speech to you....

Simon.

It will get sorted out.
sorry to hear about your problems.

It could be a defect with the computer or shipping may have damaged it.

New computers need to be program/matched to the individual car.
