Will wait for corrective action from Cargraphic / RS Tuning.

the dealer and had the duplicate ECU mated and labeled (VIN # )on the spot.
The ECUs listed for 800+/- but the dealership took care of me on three.
The dealer Tech did the Duplicate ECU programming for $0 and if I decide
to have someone modify an ECU for any of my RSs it will be one of the duplicates.
Your unfortunate experience has now made me think this was a bargain.
Good luck.

Well a little pissed off at present. Drove the car last night after fitting the ECU. Several errors when I started the car. Thought I would clear them tomorrow when I fit the cats, etc at the garage. Went to start the car today. More & More errors codes PASM failure, ABS failure, TC failure, Telling me to depress clutch (but clutch is already depressed)….car will not start. Went to recheck the connections on the ECU. All connections 100% OK. But the ECU is very very HOT. Too hot to touch. Disconnected battery again… ECU cools off after 5 minutes, reconnect it gets HOT again. Awaiting response from Cargraphic / RS Tuning.
In the meantime….is it possible for me to order a duplicate (original) ECU from Porsche ?

happened to me 4 times already; Its either;
- the ecu bus is burned, which means they have to replace it (its quite simple and it happens when you shoulder ecus) or
- the ecu software version is incompatible with the processor software version
The latter is unlikely as it would happen only if your dealer had unsuccessfully tried to update the software version of the ecu to a newer one on a modified car. Both happened to me but in your case its most likely the first one. Make sure you ask them to check the ecu on another gt2 before sending it back! Its a long way from germany..

Received my ECU last night after RS Tuning took corrective action.
Car started immediately, only one error code which cleared after 1-2 minutes driving. Drove the GT2 to the local Porsche dealer today to read & clear all codes. No errors found on ECU. Several ‘soft’ errors read & cleared relating to low voltage. Plan to install cats / headers first week of 2010.
