Default 2010 GT3 at $119 asking

Not in the market
No affiliation
just a heads up for fellow RLers -- seemed like a decent deal... no mention of mileage but how high can it be?

From their advertisement:
2010 GT3
White
Bluetooth phone interface
floor mats in interior color
Guards Red seat belts
Premium Sound Package
Sport Seats (yes, the good ones)
Porsche Command Management with extended GPS
Sport Chrono Package
and much more ()

From the information posted, MSRP of $121,500 (including $950 destination charge) plus $1300 gas guzzler tax. Total $122,800. So discount is less than $3,000. Mileage? I think most of us can negotiate a better discount on a new one from a dealer since many remain unsold & currently in inventory. Factor the fact that you can get better finance terms or leases on new vehicle from a dealer and this seems less than an optimal deal. My opinion. z356

IMO interior looks cheap w/o full leather.

Excellent points...
For some reason it sounded like a good deal to me
oh I know why... Because most dealer stock cars are $135k plus and full of useless options
this car is sub $120k, accepting reasonable offers ($114k cash IMHO), and at least has the right seats

I have yet to see a sub $120k msrp car on a dealer lot

Anyway from the threads I have read here I am under the impression that most people were having difficulty locating sub $135k cars in stock and ready to rock.

My local dealer got two for stock -- $135K (sold) and $142K (not sure)

As to full leather vs. not -- clearly full leather is nicer... but not required and I would guess that most sub $120K cars are actually weekend track toys to most buyers...

In any event -- it looked like an adequately spec'd fun track car with out a ton of crap and the right seats for less that $120K... so I posted it.

I have been tracking the 997.2 gt3's in Porsche dealer inventory in US since I am searching for a new 2010 gt3 or a used '07/'08 RS. The only one I remember that was sub $120K MSRP was a Speed Yellow one at Sunset Imports in Beaverton, Oregon. It was listed at $118K so it had very few options. It sold a few weeks ago. z356

exactly the reason I posted this car... it is a rarely seen sub $120K car... in a desirable color with nice seats... if I were shopping, I would offer $114K cash tomorrow morning and see where it got me.
a 3.8 gt3 with the seats for $114-115K... this car is a no brainer assuming it all checks out etc..

this seems to be even more of a difference in mk1 vs mk2

i would not consider a mk2 without full leather - looks terrible inside.

^ Excepting that the first wet track weekend will show the benefits of the std interior. Much nicer to simply wipe her down with a microfiber towel and not have to clean up, treat, or worry about the interior bits .. I can see the std interior for the track toy for sure. To each and all their own.

Nice car, but, like others have said, it needs full leather imo.

As far as discounts go, it appears that the majority are selling at MSRP with some (a low percentage) selling at a $2-3k discount. I am sure there are some better discounts, but I would think that those deals are few.

For me, I'd rather order the gt3 that I want now (w/PADM and to my specs) without being overly concerned about "potentionally" getting $3-5K off later. Yes, $5k is meaningful to me, but not enough to make me risk getting the car that I want. Conversely, seeing 997.2's going for >$20k discounts is another story if one were in the market for a 997.2. Everyone has their line in the sand.

There's a white one with leather at The Porsche Exchange in Illinois with a $120,390 MSRP

There are over 70 GT3 mkII on dealer floors around the USA right now
all are black or white, except for a handful of guards red, a few silvers and greys.
one aqua blue. no greens, golds or macadamias.

Full Leather also adds a decent amount of Alcantara as well: glove box, rear console lid, doors and door pulls at the least.

The Aqua Blue car is perfectly optioned......

The Huntington Ridge car made it to a little less than $105K on ebay.

Here is one with only one option: just the leather...weird spec, I guess, but for somebody this might be a good car...
