So the light weight headlights are still xenon? Are they same brightness just without the self levelling?

How many litres is the standard fuel tank?
If I am not mistaken, the light weight headlights are halogen. Regarding the brightness, most probably it will be less brighter than the xenon. Standard fuel tank is 67 L.

Thanks. I am assuming the 90l tank takes up all the luggage space in the front then? On 997s do the LHD and RHD drive cars have the same size tanks, I know on older 911s the LHDs had larger tanks.

hmm not sure but maybe. I have a brochure of the 997.2 gt3 with me and I think it's for GB and ROW. The tank size seems to be just the same for rhd and lhd cars.

I noticed the sport bucket seats in the press release pics had "RS 3.8" stitching on the headrest part...I wonder if the light weight buckets(CGT type) for the RS this time will have any sort of stitching on it. Anyone got any info on this?

Nope, I believe that the 90lt tanks are only available in LHD....We are RHD in Oz and this option wasn't available when I specified... Supposedly to do with the steering shaft and filler tube both being on the right of the car in RHDs and getting in each others way....

Thats what I suspected, not that I need a 90l tank anyway.

According to the guide:

1. Light weight headlamps are halogen

2. Yes, the CF CGT style seats DO have the RS 3.8 logo

• Bi-Xenon light output is 2.5 times that of halogen lights

The order guide says that the Lithium battery is not available in conjunction with Lightweight headlamps

I think that's an oversight, don't you think? It's more like only in conjunction with Lightweight headlamps. Why would someone in their right mind pay 2k for a battery just to get a 10kg (22 lbs) weight advantage and not have lightweight headlights (26lbs weight advantage) which is free?

Note: The battery has restricted function at temperatures below 0 ° C.

Radio delete:
Storage compartment in the centre console instead of radio.
If it were me, I would have deleted the console altogether - a la 996, and moved the a/c control up to the lower dash. I have always hated the front centre console, it has no place in a 911!

There are 2 or 3 oversights in the order guide - Full leather not in conjunction with clubsport for regular GT3 being one of them.

One thing that is interesting from that guide is the published gear ratios. Although the RS has a final drive that is 13% shorter, it's 6th gear is only 4.4% taller. So, the 6th gear in the RS is still significantly lower than the one in the GT3 (around 8% combined) which means it will have better high speed acceleration (as well as better low-speed acceleration), run higher revs at cruising speeds, and its top speed will be redline-limited at 193mph (while the GT3 is drag-limited at 194mph with plenty of room on the tach).

Well, if you have clubsport then the seats themselves aren't leather but you can get full leather for the dash etc when you spec clubsport.
