Default 2010 GT3RS German Ordering Guide- Useful or Useless for US?

So I came upon an Ordering Guide (PDF format) for the new RS. But it is in German and presumably for German ordered vehicles. And I don't read German. Aren't their cars spec'ed and priced differently than US bound cars?

Anyhow- If somebody wants to tackle translation of what the options list is, and pricing, please do. The forum software won't let me post as "file size is too big" (1.4M).

HERE is a DIRECT link: http://pdfcast.org/download/rs-price-list.pdf

savyboy, thanks for sending me the guide.

Some interesting pricing info from the guide:

-- Specialty colors are 2,230 Euros

-- Light-weight battery is 1,600 Euros

Sorry, no PTS -- the specialty color pricing in the guide is just for the new grey/black

1600 euros = ~US$2291 for the LI-on battery.

~US$3193 for grey color

Hmmm

Which seat is optional/standard?

Looking at the guide, looks like the GT2 style folding seats are standard issue -- the Carrera GT style fixed back CF seats require an additional 3,950 Euro upcharge. Of course, those seats won't be available here in the US though.

PS- If somebody has a place to host the file, and link to it, please do. I wish the forum software allowed it

Don't rely on Euros to Dollars translation. If we did that, we'd be paying $200k for the new RS. I expect the battery option to cost $1,500 to $2,000 in the US (still an awful lot to save 0.7% weight - and it's sprung and non-rotating).

That's a great idea.
There's probably room there for the English one too!

^ grey/black is the new brand new specialty color offered on the car (seen in the press release shots, with red trim).

Looks like some creature comforts are making their way into the new RS -- according to guide, Sound Package Plus (490 Euros) and a 6 disc CD changer (440 Euros) are now available on the RS!

Oh, so you mean we pay extra for Grey/red? So, only Blue and White are standard? Why doesn't Porsche just offer a 'paint-delete' option and get it over with.

^
And basing it (paint delete) on further weight savings (20 lbs or so), they could charge a small fortune for it!

The lift system is optional, according to the guide (2,500 Euros); interestingly, if my German is accurate, looks like the lift system CANNOT be ordered with the light-weight (halogen) headlamps (which are a no cost option).

Dynamic motor mounts, however, are standard.

Note: all of the prices I have listed in the prior posts are exclusive of VAT tax (19%)
