GT3 Inventory and the new RS

GT3 Inventory and the new RS
call me shallow, but I wont spend all that money on an RS with those color
schemes, so ...
I got to thinking, what's the inventory like of GT3's ... are they flying off of the
dealers lots?
Not if you go by the S.F bay area... each dealer:
rector - guards red
carlsen - white
stevens creek - black
michael stead - white
freemont - white
livermore - black
with the exception of sonnen have a car sitting on their lot ...
What's the situtation in your hood?
knowledge is power!

Wait for the engine mounts and nose lift.
I think there's an artificial lack of demand for these early cars while buyers wait for the new options, plus a lot of buyers put in orders specifying those options, so the "enthusiast" buyer is already locked into an order that's probably getting built in October or so.
Of course, having the country in recession doesn't help anyone and Porsche residuals are going to be worse, so "cheap seat" leases aren't as cheap as they used to be. : )
I imagine a lot of would-be RS buyers have followed you back to the GT3 at least to make the comparison.
And there won't be many RS cars built, so demand will have to trend back to the GT3.
I'd rather keep a 997.1 GT3 and wait for PDK, but that could be a looong wait.

I have been working on getting an allocation for a Nov Build car all week. I think the dealers would sell more cars if they would do what they say. I must have been told more than 5 - 10 times I will confirm and call you back. No call back. E-mails go unanswered. Yes we have the allocation may I have it no we don't have one available. Yes I will discount the car $2000 oh sorry no allocation do you want one from stock?

Prestige (now Jack Daniels) is sitting on two (at least as of last weekend) asking for MSRP. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd be willing to knock off a couple of grand off the price given the amount of time they've been sitting there. Go a little bit further away, even, and greater discounts can be had in the metro area.

Humm from reading other threads, I think there's a little more than just the intake between the GT3 and the RS.

you can make a GT3 into a full RS, but at that point the RS would have been MUCH cheaper.
i could have made my GT3 into a cup car. but when it's done, i would have been able to buy two brand new cup cars for the price of conversion.

At this point, I have waited around and here is the new RS... I much rather have an RS, it's just ridiculous, but then at what cost? WIll these be going for sticker if the GT3 barely is? Who knows, I can say def. not in NY hah :/
