Default Fire Extinguisher Mount for Sport Bucket Seats?

Has anyone researched the options for a fire extinguisher mount for the new GT3s with sport bucket seats?

Try Shark Werks. I think they have limited production runs as orders are placed. They had them for the Gen. I.

Another vote for Sharkwerks. You can check it out by going to their project gallery and looking at the install on the white GT2.

I have an email sent to Alex. When I hear back from him I will suggest he posts something here.

It looks like the Brey-Krause mount also needs the anti-submarine bar which would be good if you plan on putting a harness in the car without a cage.

I am not sure if the SharkWerks works with an anti-submarine attachment or not.

I have the Sharkwerks set up on my GT2 bucket seat as well. Driver's side. Works perfectly. No vibrations at all.

Do not use the porsche model. It's $300 after the fact and it is not compliant with PCA track days. I bought a very simple mount from www.speedtactics.com. It mounts to the existing seat rail bolts and goes on and off in about 5 minutes. Very simple design. No fuss. I also used the Brey Krauss Mounts in my Turbo. Works really well, but much harder to install. You have to pull the seat and it's very difficult to get the mounting bracket between the seat foam and frame. Good permanent choice . But I prefer the easy on and off of the speedtactics model. Also just realized you're talking about the Sport Bucket Seat specifically. Don't know ow difficult the Brey Krauss is to install on that version of seat.

A 13 mm gear wrench really helps. When you replace the seat bolts, I found it easier starting with the front bolts to get the threaded female backing plates aligned, then do the rear bolts. It is a bit of a PITA, but take your time since the threads on these bolts and the threaded plates do not look all that durable.

Blaine S,

Is that the Brey-Krause set up? Do you have the anti-sub belt brackets mounted as well?
