Just got this email in my inbox from the dealership!!!

"As of this A.M., the car has been released to the port in Germany, vessel is supposed to leave by the 25th of this month at the latest...I will keep you updated as I get more info..."

Hmmmm...... Hopefully by the end of September! Sure would be nice to have it at the Glen near the end of September!!!

Guide pins are just a part of "pre-configured kits" that they place in the cars.
Useless on the MkII

Anybody have any updates on aftermarket wheel production? I am going to make calls to the following on Tuesday (or Monday if I have time)

IForged - 714-484-1070
CarGraphics 714-545-1046
Champion Motorsports
CCW - 888-577-0144
BBS - already have a call in to them

Anybody else have any other info? Anybody have any problems with the above companies?

Got an email response from Champion last week stating that their one piece forged centerlock wheels for the 2010 were about to go to production and would be available in FOUR months! I pinged them back to confirm he meant months and not weeks and didn't hear back.

GMG's wheel is being produced by somebody local to them, I don't know the delivery timeline.

Let us know what you find out. I'd really like to have a set for a couple of October events.

There 21 front rims and 9 rears available in Germany now.
That is probably the whole center lock retrofit kit. They have available a centerlock retrofit kit for 07-08 GT3s that includes the hubs. My dealer said the full retrofit kit is $6-7K. He didn't have a price or part number for individual wheels at that time.

Did you check there??

Each car comes with one, no need to buy one!
I can confirm this one. My dealer got an extra 10' GT3 on a trade (it is already sold) and I got to go through it. Sure enough, the socket is hidden in a compartment on the left side in the trunk as indicated in the picture.

Well, I am running into a lot of "Not Yet" and "Coming soon" replies. I am thinking it is just a little too soon and will leave this til after this season to decide. This way there will hopefully more options over the winter.

Here is a response from BBS I got this morning....

The 2010 GT3 is using a different center-lock system and different wheel. Germany created some sample wheels but went too aggressive and had to make some changes. We will have a better idea of what’s available near the end of September. The OEM wheel for that car is not produced by BBS.

Feel free to contact us if we can be of further assistance.

Zach Studivant

The guy who I talked to at CCW asked me to send him my wheels so he could make me a full set! LOL!

He said to check back with him some time in the fall.

All John has to do is make another CNC program to drill the centers.

What I would really like to know is the width, offset and price for the new Turbo's optional center lock wheels. I like the design a lot more than the GT3 wheels, very old school BBS.

I hear that. But the offsets are probably different (wide vs. narrow body).
