What are "they" (that doesn't come with two pins.)

The cars, the 997.2 2010 GT3's come with the "old" five lug guides (that screw in in place of the lug bolts to help prevent the wheel contacting the caliper and rotor.

This could just be something that's accomodating cars that are built with five lugs instead of center lock and superfluous in the center lock cars (but Porsche is usually pretty good about trimming the stuff going into the car, eg. VIN-specific wiring ...)

Also, there's now a tire pressure gauge again. Though of course tire pressume monitoring is a DOT requirement for several years now. So it's a bit of "braces and belt" in both cases?

I still don't see where the "old" guide pins could be useful if the wheel doesn't have five lug holes.

??????

The socket resides behind a vertical access panel at the bottom left corner of the luggage comp.

Did you check there??

Each car comes with one, no need to buy one!

Hey Carrera GT, This is the front rotor of my 2010 GT3. I do not have the car as it is still in Germany or in transit to me. This is the only info I can provide to you right now as I cannot go to the car to look for your answer.

I just talked to CCW and they are interested in producing a CL wheel. If somebody would contact them @ 888-577-0144 I am sure they will pursue it. They would need a front and rear wheel for measurement.

Now you have a great paper weight!

Matt, what's the story with this 4.0 engine they are going to offer for the 2010 GT3? Is this a modification, or a replacement?

Interesting that StopTech is coming out w/ its own ceramic rotors.. would be great if they can make a direct PCCB replacement too.. as another alternative!

I've been toying with factory delivery. I hadn't thought about that aspect. At the time, I was told the car had to go literally in a sealed plastic bag and be sent air freight (to US) ... has this changed?

A couple of things...

Do not hesitate to do the Euro Delivery package!!! Even if you just tour around Europe as opposed to my "track" orientated trip, JUST DO IT!

The time you have to wait from when you drop your car back off in Zuffenhausen depends upon several factors. My situation is I dropped it back off just after a boat left and just before the factory closed down for Vacation. Now the question for me is did they get my GT3 to the dock before the factory closed to get it on the next ship that leaves Mid August. If not I might not get on a ship til mid September. Even if this is the case I would make the same decision to do the trip again as I will always reflect on what a wonderful time I had.

The final thing is your car does not get sent air freight back to the US. It just gets shuffled with the rest of the cattle on a ship.

I am not sure what the status is currently on Euro Delivery. The last I heard (could have just been a rumor) was that they are offering it on a case by case review. This tells me that if you tell them you will not take the car you will have a better chance of getting it.
