Default Dont know if I am welcome here anymore but.....

This is kinda sad for me but exciting just the same. I have been in the hardcore TT/GT3 club for 6 years. I had plans through a generous friend whom most of you know to stay in the club with an RS but extremely bad luck kept me from
a very nice deal with a very selfless person here on our board to stay in the GT3 world, but through my own fault it didnt happen. CJ Ichiban is a selfless person more than you guys will ever know and I wont bore you with details but I still thank him for what he tried to do...
the end result is I bought a 09 C2S from my local dealer here in Kern County.
The deal was the best deal I have EVER received from ANY dealer on ANY car.
I had hope my back would get better so I could stay in the GT3 club and enjoy some track days at the wonderful tracks in my area.
But reality is with my back the C2S with PDK is a great compromise for my situation. I had planned to stay GT3 but the test drive on the C2S has been in my mind since I drove it. Its not a GT3 but its the best solution for someone in my physical condition. Its quicker than my 993TT and my 996 GT3 and on par with my 997 GT3. It misses some of the visceral feel and noises of the 997 GT3 but has all the things I need. I have a feeling that I am not the only one who will use the 997.2 C2S for a GT3 stand-in because of physical limitations.
Or just because its an outstanding daily and can be used at the track.
The C2S is Carrera white with options (thanks to Pogue for helping me figure out options) Power comfort seats with AC (here in the desert these are a GodSend) PDK of course, Cornering lights, bluetooth, sport Chrono, and Nav, Bose, XM, 6 cd and audio interface.
It had the Light Grey interior that I have been chasing since I got my first 993 911.

Smart move, the 997.2, with PDK, is a very special car.. and practical too!

It is so good I am betting that the GT cars will also get PDK when they sort out the RPM limitation... it is already slated for the next Ferrari. Do you think Porsche will be that far behind?

That special RS people are dreaming about might be a PDK car!

nothin wrong with a C2S.

you already have had the 996-997 GT3 anyhow, but now times have changed so a more user friendly car is what you require.....

this is why porsche offers more 911 models then just the gt3

glad to see you stuck with porsche and it is treating you really well!

Great that you are back in a 911.. congrats!!!! PDK is a great alternative for those with bad backs and knees.... and I will sooner or later be getting into one too... and the C2S is as good as it gets... white makes it that much better! enjoy it in good health!!!

Great pick, OG -- the 2009 C2S with PDK blew me away at Miller Motorsports Park last year.

And if they let me hang around, I am guessing they gotta let you do the same....

OG...GT3 or not, welcome back! Benz's should only be used by (really) old men and tennis ladies. You know better! Best of luck with your new choice ride.

I sincerely hope not! - and I doubt it will since they add about 40+lbs to the
car!
