Just got word from my dealer that due to poor economic conditions and poor sales in NA that the RS is on hold and not scheduled for production. I had one on order for Euro delivery which has also been curtailed due to tough economic times. Can any one else confirm, deny or shed some more light on any of this?

There was no confirmation from Porsche ever that an RS was to be produced, only speculation and some phantom photos on the web by many....now your dealer is telling the truth there is no plan to produce it...Thank god...so buy an existing RS it is a phenominal machine and always puts a smile on peoples face when in view.
Good luck

Colours shown in the presentation were black, grey and a middle forest green, the car will be announced officially in August and delivery will start next year. Whether it comes to the US is another matter...

Approximately a month ago when I spoke to Walter Rohrl he said that there will be an RS quite soon. He wa also testing a GT2 RS at the Nordschleife, which will follow the GT3 RS MKII and should go into production autumn 2010 if it get´s the green light.
