Had a good chat with Andreas at the Silverstone event.

He's a very worthy custodian of Porsche GT cars.

For those of us who want faster, lighter more track biased GT3/RS's, the best thing you can do is persuade anybody who wants the comfort options to buy a carrera or turbo (or a panamera) and leave the GT3's and RS's for those who get their kicks on track.

Incidentally the next RS is about 6 weeks away from announcement.

My front calipers are still bright red, the rears are very dark maroon.

I don't like the fact that you have to take the rear caliper off to change pads and strip the hub in the process. See other threat, I hope to install Time Certs on all 4 corners this week: Peter/Traccar emergency

No question the rears need more cooling, but maybe the real solution is bigger rear brake calipers?

Has anyone replaced them with normal, open calipers that do not require the removal of the caliper and has bigger pads? Or would this upset the brake balance?

How are the rear brake calipers on the MKII?

Yours are already on order Adam.... Will be to me in a couple of days. I ordered 3 sets last week (1 for you and 2 for local guys). I got most of the last part sets here in the states for the moment. Sorry Larry.. Adam sent me an email that you had already ordered yours... I'll take some pics when they arrive and when I install them on a customers car.

Brake ducts have turned up at Parr, hope to have them fitted next week.

They are surprised just how high quality they are.

Just checking some fitment issues 1st, as the lower arm on the new car seems slightly different.

Will post pics when fitted.

Cheers Glenn, I miss Steve @ Parr ...

is it me or are the ducts different shapes?

I recall when I looked on PET the lower control arm for the 997.2 had I believe incremented the lower control arm # by 1 ... so there may be some difference
although I also recall someone else saw them listed in the new PET for '10
"implying" that they should fit ...

cant wait to see them ... and get mine!

Hope it's a DIY job ....

I thought that the 997 cup cars didn't have ABS at all.
