What's the Consensus upgraded Steel or PCCB for the Mk2 GT3?

If the :
* The 997.2 red brakes are 2.4 kg lighter than the 997.1 red brakes despite being uprated. The was mainly down to the aluminium centre hubs.
* The 997.2 yellow brakes are 4.8kg lighter than the 997.1 yellow brakes despite being uprated. The was also mainly down to the aluminium centre hubs.

And if the last gen PCCBs were 10.2 lbs lighter than the last gen steels, then even though the new steels are 5.2 lbs(2.4kg) than the last gen steels, the new PCCBs are 10.5 lbs (4.8kg) lighter than the last gen PCCBs. Which would mean that with the new PCCBs, almost a 21 lbs difference per corner compared to the new reds, no?
I wonder what the rotor only weight difference is...

The Excellence article on the mkII GT3 indicated that the PCCBs "are the same as the one used in the 2008" MY cars (8/09 - p48). Which info is correct I wonder ??
The Article confirms the above info re the 'irons'.

It appears the mkII PCCB info is confirmed by the 7/09 Panorama GT3 article (p.8):
"The (PCCBs) have also been chged over to aluminum chambers and are 10.6 lbs lighter each" compared to "the conventional brakes".
By 'conventional brakes' I guess they mean the new reds - poorly worded.

I believe that the "conventional brakes" are _NOT_ the new red steels.
There is no direct info from Porsche on the weight difference between the new reds and PCCBs, not even in the confidential doc given to the dealers describing the car in detail and comparing it to competitors.

From all I have read about PCCB's, they are great for a DD and will last a long time. For the track, unless you are Bill Gates, you are not getting your money's worth. The current design is a failure, IMO. When they hold up to track usage over a long period of time, then I'll consider them worth the cost. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of the weight savings. It's all the hype about superiority that Porsche put out about PCCB's that has left a bad taste in my mouth.
