2007 GT3 option question...
Did the PCM 2.1 option come with upgraded audio, and/or was the Sound Package Plus option available in addition if you wanted improved sound?
I realize there is no such thing as a good factory system in a 911, that it's not what you buy such a car for, etc. Just curious.

all you get is a different amp and two speakers in the pack.
without this option, there's nothing but air behind the rear speaker grilles.

Thanks fellas. My question was actually in relation to the PCM option; whether PCM included upgraded audio (amp and/or speakers), or if the SPP option had to be ordered in addition.

mine came with the CDR24 and sound package plus. later i swapped out the CDR24 and replaced it with the 2.1 PCM. it was all plug and play since it came out of another gt3 with sound package plus

Sound Package was NOT a requirement with PCM for MY07
For MY10 it is with PCM +$700

Just curious, how do you guys know that the sunroof is deleted?
I just went to the configurator and clicked on the standard vehicle specs, and it specifically states that the GT3 comes with a sliding steel sunroof. Is that a typo, which would not surprise me at all???

As of today there is NO order guide available....
See this thread I posted in Feb of info that was sent to dealers
Says ..... No Sunroof
KEY CHANGES
Another tidbit:
Weight savings were also made in the roof area. As with previous models, a roof transport system is not offered for the new 911 GT3 due to its specific product positioning with an emphasis on driving dynamics. The roof area therefore does not require a preparation for a oof transport system which includes fastening points and body structure reinforcements.
This provides a weight saving of approximately 3.5 lbs (1.6 kg) per vehicle. The weight reduction in the roof area is particularly efficient, as it reduces the vehicle’s center of gravity and promotes driving dynamics. By omitting the preparation for a roof transport system, it was also possible to omit the flaps for securing the roof transport system supports in the side roof rails.
The side roof rails of the new 911 GT3 thus have a one-piece design.
