Because you don't get the nipples either. I actually sent an email to Eric the Bumperplugs guy, to see if he could make plugs for the bumper holes on those ugly nipples (never got an answer). I weighed the hoses and sprayers, and there are 7 lbs of waste, 5 lbs more for the HID with the ballast and you're on the 6Kg ballpark.

PASM and Bi Xenon is great for street use IMO. And I think you can delete this option if you don't like it.

that makes no sense to me, but i am no engineer.

i can't see when the race cars would prefer a softer mushy mount.

but i am always eager to be enlightened.

Agreed and that's way too heavy for a sports car like the GT3/RS.

PASM/XENON is ok, but lift system is too much. I will spend money for PCCB instead of lift system for my RS.

They are racing cars, I can't see that they would require a comfort setting... They would be using near solid mounts to minimise the effects of the engine's momentum on the chassis... This sounds weird to me...

I agree, the lift system is kind of out of place for the GT3, would be nice on a Turbo though.

The new engine mounts is mainly for improve handling, not for comfort. That's why it is only optional for the GT3 now.

Exactly and they are offered on the GT3 because it is used on the road (soft setting for comfort) as well as the track (hard setting for handling). Why would a cup cars or RSR need dynamic engine mounts as you mentioned in your earlier post??? For the comfort setting when pulling into the pits??? They would just use near solid mounts, purely for handling...

I don't think you can have 2 setting for that thing.

All I know that is for improve handling.

let's wait and see what the review tell us about that.

Thats BS. Cups have ALWAYS had and will have solid mounts for engine and tranny. Those mounts would not be allowed in any sanctioning body. Please don't post crap unless you're sure what you're talking about.

The dynamic engine mount option would be worth it if it also lowers the motor for lower center of gravity : ). Mike

Wish Porsche would do modern day "Light" option packages.

Tick one option code box and get:

-Shell bucket (GT2) seats
-No sunroof
-LW rear windows
-Lightweight carpeting
-Simplified front trunk trim
-No passenger visor
-No door boxes
-Reduced sound deadening everywhere but the rear wheelwells
-Moton (or similar) dampers
-Stiffer engine mounts

And another to get an "extreme" light package:

-Lightweight wheels
-PCCB
-No A/C

Track pack could add:

-Roll bar (sadly, not for U.S.)
-Simplified hot-lap timer setup or SCP with data logging
-Harnesses and a fire extinguisher in a box

Seems to me Porsche is leaving money on the table. But then, what do I know....
