I think white or black looks great for 911, but Riviera Blue will be the PTS color for me.

This is one of the reasons why my next pcar will be a GT3, I feel like the workers and attention to detail at the motorsports plant is that much better.

I guess only the engines are made in the Motor sports factory.

All of the GT1 block in engines are made in the same room as the 997 engines on a seperate line.

Each engine is assembled by one person from start to finish!

You are correct, both the GT3 and the RS are built on the same line @ zuffenhausen as the rest of the 911 line. The just in time manufacturing
system delivers the appropriate parts to each of the stations on the production
line. There are only 2 robots on the entire line, that install the front and rear
glass on the car, and the tyre mounter the rest is hand installed.

The Gt1 block engines are build (by a single hand) in the same facility as the other 911 engines, but on a separate line.

If you ever do euro delivery on your car (as I did) it's worth doing the factory
tour.

I believe that the cup cars also come off this line, only the RSR's that are built by the motorsport division.

I completely agree; I've been going to the ring for about 9 years now off and on, and having been a novice in a mkI GT3 I can assure you if you do not have
instruction you will not complete a lap at speed.

You can drive the track at "road speed" during the tourist laps, but if you want
to attempt a lap at track speeds you need to know the track.

You can use several track guides combined with full lap videos on youtube to help with this.

I'll be at the ring 7/31-8/9 if anyone wants to meet up
