I would think the center lock would be a little lighter (maybe), a bit quicker to change a wheel and I really like the look.

No question, the centerlocks. Of course, if they're actually the fake retrofit things, it's a bit silly. I'd still probably be stupid enough to take them because it's a differentiating (novelty) feature of the 997.2.

I'd like the centerlocks - it would give me another excuse to spend more money on fancy German tools (multiplying torque wrench - short handle with gears to convert a long light stroke into a short stroke with several times the torque).

From their info, it seems to me the description excludes the Tequipment product with its vestigial five slug adapter.

Centerlocks.

Reasons? 1) New technique and equipment to learn and master and 2) chicks dig it.

5 lugs for me.

A loose lug nut out of 5 is not that dangerous as a loose center lock nut.

Very good point that I had not thought of.

Can I change my vote now?

Who cares what chicks dig.

Chicks dig guys that survive gnarly crashes with tough scars.

ps. The centerlock is, in my humble, more idiot proof than five slugs:

Maybe I'm the exception, but I think the new centerlock wheel is fugly...I love the 5 lug 996, 997 GT3 wheel...

I'm thinking that if they work for the Sypder,........... unless one screws it up I doubt it is much of a risk. My 0.02 cents.
