I drove on a Friday afternoon last year at the Chevy Rev-It Up in Englishtown, NJ. There were 13,000 competitors across U.S. The winner got a 2007 C6 Corvette as a prize and a Skip Barber driving school (a friend of mine).

The 10 best times at an autoX course with a Chevy Cobalt qualified for the Shoot-out in a Chevy Corvette C6. I barely made it among over 1,000 drivers, and qualified 7th or 8th. We ran the Shoot-out in the Corvette and I won.

Well, my best time in two laps with the Cobalt was faster than my best time in two laps with the Corvette.

I could never beat a stock GT3 with a stock Cobalt at an autoX. There are better cars than a C6 for $50k, new and used.

Nothing. I ran on Friday, and they held another event on Saturday, the winner on Saturday got more points than the winner on Friday (me) so he won the city. This is the guy that won the Corvette, we are friends.

GM was the biggest sponsor behind Rev-It Up, they shut it down for this year. I hope they bring it back next year.

I was shocked when I could not get better times than the Cobalt SS (old 2.4 170hp Coupe), and I wasn't the fastest in the Cobalt.

The Cobalt SS (old and new) has been shown to handle quite well... the new turbo version (old one was supercharged) is quite a pocket rocket!

Getting back to GM, what do people here think of the new Camaro?

Default camaro

New Camaro:

should be a great little Grand Tourer for the money.

GM's LS engine along with independant rear suspension should be a nice combo in a USA built GT car.

Chevrolet drivetrain should be ready and willing to take abuse as always.

Probably heavy, and not much for the track, it will make for a nice DD for those who enjoyed the 1969 model.

Like the mustang and challenger, it will be a new generation muscle car.
If they opt to offer a limited build high horse LS engine to produce the same hp as a zo6 or ZR1 corvette i could be tempted to add one to the stable.........

black with white rs stripes... convertible

I agree on the comments on the Camaro. I still haven't seen it in person, but I am tempted to buy one. It seems like a bargain and the best comparing it to the Mustang or Challenger.

That's a beautiful C4! is it polar?

I entertained thoughts of getting a 964 c4 daily when I saw one for sale last month but didn't like the condition.
