Considering the desirable color and pccb, it certainly did.

With those options, it sold under MSRP; as it should.

IMO and I said it before, loaded track oriented cars will sell for less cause hardly anybody wants a track toy with Nav. system and all the other gadgets. Guys who bought strippers paid less at the dealer and will loose less when they sell and might even gain in the long run. Although not applicable for TT.

When they were 3x the cost of my Cayman they were really untouchable for me. But @ about 2x, that is starting to really be interesting. I'd much rather have an RS compared to a TT in that price range. Boy, if the depreciation curve continues, they will really be priced well in a couple of years! I may have a new car in mind to start dreaming about....

Key word "curve." Don't expect to get an RS at bargain basement prices in two years. Just look how well the 996 GT3 did, and the 997 GT3 will probably do better than the 996. Then you take the RS version and you can forget about rea "bargains" for some time to come. Because of the economy you might see a few deals like this, but overall, I expect the RS' to hold their value extremely well; and at some point they may very well start to appreciate (that's pretty much a given, but I mean sooner than later; maybe in 8 to 12 years instead of 30 + years).

I think all 997/GT3 variants will eventually appreciate due to the limited numbers produced.
