Another GTR love letter
A guy just bought a GTR and blew up the tranny. There are so many modes you can drive in, he wasnt in the right mode and Nissan wont cover the tranny which
just blew up. Nissan did offer to fix it for $20K after he just paid for the GTR.

He took it to the Nissan dealer and they wouldnt touch it, they called in techs
from Tennesee (he was in FL) and they wouldnt fix it so they called in techs from Japan that voided his warranty for not driving in the right mode. also I hear that if you launch your car once the warranty is void. If you launch it 20 times
you get to give Nissan $20k more to fix your blown up car.
When the GTR fanboys came in here dissing the GT3 for the price and the GTR being the better car for less money but it seems like as the truth is coming out in the flood gates now. another article says the Ring times the GTR did were not valid. Then Porsche came out and claimed the GTR ring times were not valid.

This just tells me that the GT3 is the best car for the dollar (or Euro) and its bullet proof. The RMS is looking like a drive it and it will go away. there are still the RMS but usually It gets fixed. I had one on my 996 GT3 but no big deal.
Its also nice that you can go to your dealer most times and not have the service manager call Germany to get stuff fixed.
The GT3 is just one helluva car. Poseurs come and Poseurs go but the GT cars are always there on the track waiting for someone to ring it out to 8200 RPM singing the best song you'll here in a car. Man I miss that thing in my garage.

I have a new set of Hoohoos sitting in the foyer... my wife says they're stinkin' up the joint.
Let me know if you're coming down. We all need to hook up. Lots of Rennlisters are usually in attendance at the Carolinas event.

I was watching the ALMS race last year at Lime Rock and one of the GT3s
busted a radiator and lost all its coolant. It FINISHED that last 30 laps as
an AIR COOLED GT3 with out losing the motor!!!
thats IMPRESSIVE.
The GT3 is an amazing car at the price point.
I will probably buy a 996 GT3 when my wife cools down from the
car shuffling I did this year.

I have done my homework and from what i can see the GT3 is the best all round car for DD, DE and other forms of motosport all wrapped up in one neat little package!
like em' or not, you cant ignore the GT3's all round flexability for a sports car.
I love em'
